Your CV is @$$

Some of you are never going to land the BIG BAG corporate jobs…

Not because you’re not talented.
Not because you’re not qualified.
Not because the job market is cooked.

But because your CV looks like a JOB DESCRIPTION.

“Responsible for customer service and maintaining the cash register.”

I hate to break it to you…

But that is not getting you an interview.

Because there’s:

No context
No metrics
No quantifiable impact

It just looks like you copied and pasted your job description.

Now compare that to this ⬇️

“Responsible for providing optimal service to over 200 customers per day and processing transactions of over £5,000.”

🔥Tuff🔥

 Full context.
It’s quantifiable.
It shows impact.

And most importantly, it’s got that corporate twang 🤌🏾

The game is the game 🤷🏾‍♂️

Follow these tips and increase your chances of bagging more interviews.

Founder Updates: Touch grass moments and what it takes to win.

Took a break from work the other day to touch some grass, think about the life I want and the work it’s going to take to build it. When I was working in corporate, I used to daydream about being a founder, making content, and running Beyond Education full-time.

Now I’m living that life, and it’s humbling to say the least.

Contemplating whether all of the struggle is really worth it. Seeing who you really are when times get tough. Realising how difficult it is to be resilient after:

  • Cash flow issues

  • Shitty sales calls

  • Another rejection

  • No response to outreach

  • And a bunch of other sh*t

Realising you are never as good as you think you are, that nobody is actually coming to save you, and you can’t feel sorry for yourself, cause this is what you wanted!

The only viable outcome from going through all of this sh*t is to WIN. But you realise that winning is not as easy as you anticipated. However, it’s quite simple and straightforward: Outreach. Content. Systems. Delegation. Comms. And ANYTHING it takes. Again and again until it compounds.

And when it does, you don’t want to stop because you’ve fallen in love with the growth and the grind. The version of you that shows up regardless of how you feel.

That’s really what it takes to win.
That’s really who I am trying to become.

I don’t have a neat conclusion to this ramble.

Just my thought process navigating this chapter of my life.

Thank you for being a part of the journey and giving me your attention {{ first name | Gang }} #letswin
