The "sexy careers" are not for everyone

A lot of you want to get into the “sexy” careers:

• Investment Banking
• Sales & Trading
• Private Equity

i.e. High Finance

But are you really interested in these careers?

Or is it just about the…

• Status
• Money
• Fear of Missing Out

The majority aren’t genuinely interested in these careers.

It’s simply a desire from the external perception.

I promise you it's not like Wolf of Wall Street 😅

Plus, there's a difference between desire from perception.

Versus having genuine interest & skills to keep up.

A lot of these roles are numbers heavy, so if that does not come naturally to you…

You are setting yourself up to fail, in my opinion 🤷🏾‍♂️

Go for roles that require skills that come naturally to you.

Take me for example: I'm personable and get on quite well with people.

So, I've always looked for roles that involved:

• Relationship management
• Dealing with clients
• Yapping lol
