1) “Ex - (insert company)”

We can see your past experience mate
Putting it in your bio…attention seeking x
“Ex-Google”. I kind of get the flex to be fair
“Ex- (unknown company)”. Common now!

Also, adding more than one “Ex”…

How GREEDY 🤮

2) “Incoming (insert position)”

Mind you, the role starts in 2027
Just wait till you start the job
Why are you in a rush babe?
A tad dramatic if you ask me.

3) “I’m excited to announce”

Even worse: “I’m thrilled to announce”
“Ooo look my dog just got a new job”
“Here are some fun facts about…”
“Allow me to re-introduce myself”

Soooo attention seeking!

This is LinkedIn 101…

A necessity for career progression (apparently).

With that being said, you might as well apply for open jobs here.

So you can…

• Put Ex employers in your bio to make people jealous

• Update your profile with your incoming position

• Do an “I’m excited to announce…” post

Because that’s what LinkedIn is all about 🤝

The game is the game, I guess 🤷🏾‍♂️
