Layoffs galore
Corporate really said: “New Year New Lay-offs”
It’s wild out here as we start the year, so my well wishes to anyone affected.
Short and sweet one this week as I ease myself back into the newsletter.
We’ve received a high volume of applications for our recent summer internship with Federated Hermes within 5 days of going live.
This is good & bad.
Good because we have a receptive community hungry for opportunities.
Bad because the quality of applications could be better.
I’m just being real.
Things that can make your applications bang:
→Resource portal with inspo CVs & Cover Letters
→Free game I am dropping on TikTok & LinkedIn
→Insight sessions for tips from hiring managers
We have two virtual events happening next week:
→ Infrastructure Private Equity & Sustainable Fixed Income w/Federated Hermes
→ Technology, Marketing & Financial Controls w/Federated Hermes
I strongly advise that you attend both insight events before applying + check out the resource portal for inspo on CVs & Cover Letters.
I have closed off the applications on socials and will be reopening after the insight events.
I really want everyone to put their best foot forward and increase their chances of being put through to the interview stage.
Good luck ✌🏾
In other news:
→Manager gets fired for saying the N-word
→Mangers gets £800k for saying the N-word
→The UK economy grew by 0.3%
→The UK is in risk of recession
→New Year New Layoffs
The theme this week is: Irony
Gotta love the UK 🙂
Deuces ✌🏾
