The Big Tech Layoffs 💀

Tech companies have laid off 100,000~ people this year.
Whilst making more money
Record-breaking profits
And investing in AI
They are investing in AI and other technologies.
But getting rid of the actual people.
More efficiency. More money. More profits
The writing is on the wall...
AI IS taking jobs.
Dark. I know.
But it’s nothing personal. Just Business 101.
If you don't want to be in this predicament Gang…
As a current employee
Or a job seeker
My advice would be to look for opportunities outside of traditional “BIG TECH” companies.
i.e. industries that are not considered to be Tech, e.g. Telecoms, Media, Broadcasting, etc.
As they are investing in different technologies.
PLUS the people who have the expertise.
A company that falls into this category is our latest employer partner, BBC.
Who are looking for Tech professionals.
↳ With 2 to 5+ years of relevant experience.
Hiring in Newcastle, Glasgow, Salford, Cardiff & London.
With roles in AI, Data, Engineering, Cybersecurity & so much more!
They are hosting a virtual Q&A session at 6pm where you can ask questions to staff, recruiters and hiring managers before applying for their open opportunities.
About partnership: The BBC is the world’s leading public service broadcaster, creating distinctive, world-class programmes and content which inform, educate and entertain millions of people in the UK and around the world.
